IND v ENG 5th T20I: India stands at 3-2
In the fifth T20I (Twenty20 International) India defeated England and claimed the series by 3-2. This shows how India' preparation for the T20 World Cup is right on track! England won the toss even this time, making it four times in the series on Saturday, 20th March 2021. First Kholi's and Rohit Sharma's sensational 80 off 52 balls and 64 off 34 balls fueled India's win with 224 for two.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Indian's wicketkeeper-batsman fell but had an impressive comeback and showcased his best with two wickets for 15 runs in four overs. England's innings ended at 188 for eight and they lost the match by 36 runs.
The additional crucial contributions from the Indian team were from Suryakumar Yadav with 32 off 17 balls. Hardik Pandya at 39 not out of 17 balls. India banged a total of 64 runs in the last five overs and that resulted in a perfect finish. Dropping opener KL Rahul really did contribute to India's win. His fives and sixes were absolutely his own, trademarked. His smooth straight drove off the quick Mark Wood in his first over.
The Indian Men's Cricket team captain Virat Kohli, along with Suryakumar was massively pumped up. He walked his innings strategically. To get India past 200, Kohli partnered with Hardik Pandya.
