India vs SA: Harmanpreet Kaur ruled out from the 1st Women's T20 International.
"She (Harmanpreet) is out of tomorrow's match and the rest of the update on her condition will be given by the medical team," Mandhana, a left-handed opener said in the aftermath of Harmanpreet Kaur being ruled out from the first women's T20 International. During the batting of the fifth ODI, Harmanpreet had suffered from a hip-flexor injury. The match was against South Africa on Wednesday. Due to this injury, Harmanpreet Kaur was ruled out in the first match itself, out of the three-match series against South Africa.
The team has started focussing on T20 and not pondering over the ODI series. Even though the ODI series was a disappointment, says Madhana, they need to move ahead of that and focus on the T20 rubber. She also said that some new faces have been included in the team, and that demands a fresh way of thinking.
"We have been in the process in the last 3-4 years. Few catches have dropped in the ODIs, but we need to get on with a fresh mind in the T20 series and leave behind the ODI series disappointment," she said. She also stated that India's biggest strength is the spinners. And they need to pull up their socks as well for the T20 series.
