Babil announces his acting debut "Qala", to be streaming on Netflix.
1 minOn Saturday, 10th of April, 2021, son of late Irrfan Khan, Babil announced the launch of his upcoming movie Qala that'll stream on Netflix. He announced the launch on Instagram. The film is being produced by Clean Slate Films, a production house of Anushka Sharma and her brother Karnesh. The film will be directed by Anviya Dutta. Starring opposite Babil will be Tipti Dimri who had also acted the lead role in the film Bulbbul, also streamed on Netflix, directed by Anviya Dutta herself and produced by the Clean Slate Films.
Basil posted teaser scenes from the shoot and his Instagram caption read:
"Tripti freaking Dimri is back again! Whooooooo! (and a little bit of me),"
He further wrote:
"Also I'm a bit sceptical about the phrase 'getting launched' because the audience should launch off their seats while watching our film and not any individual actor."

When asked about his appearance in films and his first step to the "field of acting" by a fan, Babil replied that he is already in the "field of acting". The question lies in when he will be appearing in movies. Basil had studied Films and Acting in London. His late father, the actor Irrfan Khan died after suffering from cancer in April, 2020. He was posthumously awarded the Best Actor trophy along with Late Sushant Singh Rajput in the Filmfare Awards.
